All rods are flamed (darkened), and the nickel- silver hardware is blued  (oxidized) to produce  a refined, understated appearance. 

--Semi-Parabolic, in the Paul H. Young style.  Two piece rods. 

6324 - Six feet three inch, four weight.  The Midge.  A lovely rod - Very positive & crisp .

7024 - Seven feet, four weight.  JJ Lives.  A fantastic casting rod.  Great power .

72245 - Seven feet two inch, four/five weight.  The Driggs River Special.  Designed to pull big brown trout out of tight cover.  Crisp action. A fantastic roll - caster. 

76245 - Seven feet six inch, four/five weight.  The Perfectionist.  Grace, power & delicacy.  A terrific rod! 

7625 - Seven feet six inch, five weight.  The Martha Marie.  A strong five weight. 

7925 - Seven feet nine inch, five weight.  The Para 14.  Great Parabolic action! 

7925M - Seven feet nine inch, five weight.  Faster action & less parabolic than the Para 14. Throws a lot of line.

80256 - Eight feet, five/six weight.  The Para 15.  A strong  rod , capable of handling BIG fish.

 

--Non-Parabolic Rods 

6624D - Six feet six inches, four weight.  Dickerson’s 6611.  Delicate enough to cast short  & has power to reach out to 50 feet with ease. 

7024P- Seven feet, four weight.  My own design.  Fast action & super roll caster.

8025D - Eight feet, five weight.  Dickerson’s 8013.  Powerful, strong rod, good for high winds & big water .

76256 - Seven feet six inch, five/six weight.  Payne 101.  A fast action rod that a graphite user might like. 

8035 -   Eight foot, five weight.  Three piece.  Payne 201.  A terrific Western rod.  Pure Payne 

Many other taper formulas are readily available to allow us to work together to craft a fly rod that will suit your casting style and  specific situations.  It is important that you fully understand the capabilities of  a rod’s action  before you place an order.

 

PRICING 

Two - piece rod with extra tip - $1,195.

Three - piece rod with extra tip - $1,345.

Stripping Guide - Hard Chrome or Agate - $45.

Rods are furnished with a cotton poplin rod bag complete with a leather hang tag & a high-quality, brass-capped aluminum tube. 

A non - refundable deposit of $200 is required to begin the making of a rod.  When the rod is completed, I will contact you to discuss applicable sales tax, shipping details, and shipping costs.  All charges must be paid in full before the rod is shipped/delivered.

I also do repairs & restorations of bamboo rods.  Prices are quoted on an individual basis.
